Welcome to El Arroz

Situated in the buzzing main square of Almerimar, “El Arroz” is a wine-bar style restaurant run by its English-speaking owners Inés and chef Juan Carlos, who together work to create a real sense of family in the way they like to look after their customers.

With a large sun terrace, overlooking the gardens and boats, and indoor dining, the restaurant offers a relaxed, friendly and genuine Spanish ambience, along with a wide and varied range of delicious full meals and raciones (plates for sharing) all made with the best quality local produce.

From the excellent steaks from the Sierra de Guadix and the daily catch of fisherman Tony, to the ten plus speciality paellas (also available to take away), El Arroz’s carta has something for everyone.

Juan Carlos combines his love of cooking and creativity with these local ingredients to add a special touch to the traditional Spanish raciones, and rice dishes, and the El Arroz “Special Steak” cooked at the table, is really unique.

Complementing the food is a carefully chosen carta de vinos of quality wines from all over Spain, covering a wide range of prices and tastes, which, together with the decadent home made deserts and the customary Spanish hospitality, will complete your meal.
